Cheryl Cole Returns Back To Africa

It has been reported that Britain's sweetheart has flown out to South Africa for a holiday with Derek Hough.

The two are thought to be spending New Year's Eve together in a £3,000-a-night luxury villa overlooking Cape Town, South Africa.

This is the first time that Cole has been in the continent since she contracted malaria from a trip to Tanzania with Hough over the summer.

A source told The Sun newspaper, "Friends warned about going back to Africa so soon afterwards."

"But Derek did his homework and found Cape Town is a malaria-free region."

"He wanted to make sure Cheryl had a good start to 2011 after her worst year ever. Then he just told her to pack a bag as he'd organised a holiday for them."

It has been reported that Pop singer Cheryl Cole is to receive acting lessons when she moves to the US next year.

Cole is believed to be joining the US X Factor panel and will be given lessons to help further her career in America.

A source revealed to the Daily Star newspaper: "Alongside the acting lessons, she'll be getting a coach to train her for her judge's role in America."

Britney Spears' Single Premiere

It has been confirmed that Britney Spears' anticipated new single will premiere on US radio next week.

Entertainment Weekly revealed that 'Hold It Against Me', will be the singer's lead single from the star's as-yet-untitled seventh album. The single will receive its first radio play on January 7.

Sharon Dastur, programme director at New York's Z100 station and one of the few people to have heard the comeback track, stated: "It’s produced by Dr Luke and Max Martin, and the beat that they give her is really unique compared to other artists - this infectious bass beat beneath the song."

Spears confirmed this month that her album is due for release in March 2011.

Hip Hop mogul Jay-Z has revealed that he would love to collaborate again with Coldplay's Chris Martin

The rapper told BBC Newsbeat that Martin is "one of the geniuses of our generation".

"If he'll allow me... any time you can collaborate with that sort of genius, you jump at the chance, I don't care who you are."

Paloma Faith Blasts Fans For Photo Requests

British singer Paloma Faith has blasted fans on Twitter for asking for photos of her whilst on holiday to Thailand.

She wrote: "Please note: if I am on Xmas holidays please do not ask me for a photo with you.
Anyone would have a breakdown if they had to take 50 pictures a day with strangers till they died. (sic)"

Faith later apologised, saying: "Sorry if I offended anyone tonight I am a little tipsy," before adding this morning: "Just woke up sober and mega confused about what all the fuss was about last night.my tweet was funny.I think people need to be less serious."

Gail Porter's Hair Falls Out Again

The Scottish presenter Gail Porter has revealed on Twitter that her newly-grown hair has begun to fall out.

Porter, 39 who was diagnosed with stress-related alopecia in 2005 confirmed in February that her blonde locks had begun to return, but insisted that she could suffer from repeated hair loss.

Porter wrote: "Arrrrrse!!!!! My hair is falling out rather rapidly today. Total of 4 bald patches. Going to cover them with star wars stickers. X"

Jennifer Lopez Takes on American Idol To Help Husband's Debts

It has been reported that Jennifer Lopez is taking only taking on her American Idol judging role to help husband Marc Anthony pay his debts.

According to E! Online, Latino pop singer Anthony has an estimated $3.4m (£2.2m) in unpaid taxes with the Internal Revenue Service.

A New York judgements and liens filing dating back to March 29 records that Anthony was billed with a tax lien on property he owns in Long Island.

The singer also had a lien filed against the same real estate in December 2009 for $1.6m (£1m), bringing the total amount owed to the IRS to $3.4m.

Chris Brown Vs Raz-B Aftermath

Singer Chris Brown has apologised for the homophobic rant between himself and Raz-B on Wednesday via Twitter.

Brown sparked controversy after responding to Raz-B comments regarding his relationship with singer Rihanna and references to Raz-B's past alleged sexual abuse.

In an interview with TMZ on Thursday, Brown said: "Yesterday was an unfortunate lack in judgement sparked by public Twitter attacks from Raz-B, who was bent on getting attention. Words cannot begin to express how sorry and frustrated I am over what transpired publicly on Twitter."

"I have learned over the past few years to not condone or represent acts of violence against anyone. Molestation and victims of such acts are not to be taken lightly; and for my comments I apologise - from the bottom of my heart."

Brown added: "I love all of my fans, gay and straight. I have friends from all walks of life and I am committed, with God's help, to continue becoming a better person."

Raz-B later issued a statement about the feud.

The B2K singer issued a statement to TMZ, saying: "I want to publicly apologise for my direct attacks done out of anger. This is now about taking the right approach, so not only my story can be heard, but if someone learns something valuable."

"Standing up for yourself does not mean yelling or victimising others and I sincerely apologise for that. I was told that 'you can't hear my message if I'm screaming'."

Paris Hilton Sued

Hair extension company Hairtech International has reportedly filed a lawsuit against Paris Hilton.

TMZ revealed Hairtech International is suing the heiress and claiming that she reneged on a deal to promote its hair extensions. The company are also suggesting that Hilton wore competing extensions in public.

Hairtech have previously sued Hilton for $35m (£22m) and have now amended the lawsuit, claiming she cost the business $70m (£45m) in profits.

The company have also said Hilton broke their deal by breaking the law and going to jail in 2007.

Hilton's lawyer has called the lawsuit meritless.

No comment from Hilton on the amended lawsuit.

When hearing and reading about other peoples Atlantic crossing this year, we are glad that we'll have a late approach for it. The tradewinds were late to establish this year and many of the people we've been in touch with or read about in their blogs, have suffered from seasickness due to poor winds and the rolling of large seas and many seem to have experienced their crossing as a very uncomfortable one. Our original plan was to cross the ocean in early December but as of many unfinished boat projects, we're about one month late to the original schedule. Good like that, and the new plan for the ocean crossing is set to begin after New Year. There are still a couple of things we need to complete on the boat and also a couple of packages to receive and we're scheduling ourselves for a departure towards Martinique on the 10th of January. Let's then all hope for the best and pray for the tradewinds to be working it like they should - and a landfall is wished to be made about 3 weeks thereafter - where we'll be good in time for meeting up a couple of friends on the Caribbean side. Cannot wait for getting started with the crossing, but also we're glad to have made the decision to await for a perfect time to get it all started instead of stressing us through this first part of the tour. By the way, Marina Rubicon where we're staying at the moment has been an excellent stop for us. Peaceful, clean, fresh, great service and good facilities. The price a bit high (23 Euros/night) but over all an excellent marina. We're just about to leave for Gran Canaria and Las Palmas this afternoon where we'll make a quick stop before heading to the Southern parts of that very same island. 

New Year is now due to be celebrated in Gran Canaria, we have no plans whatsoever on how to spend NYE, but I'm sure we'll figure something fun out tomorrow when we arrive. Christmas and New Years celebrations have not been high up on our priority list for this year. But at least we have the fridge full of Champagne for a new years toast. /Taru

US singer Chris Brown and member of ex boy band B2K Raz-B ended up in a homophobic spat on Twitter yesterday.

Chris Brown's comment started when Raz-B posted "thinking how can n***as like [Eric Benét] and [Chris Brown] disrespect women as intelligent as Halle Berry, Rihanna."

Brown immediately replied: "N***a you want attention! Grow up n***a!!! D**k in da booty ass lil boy."

"Tell me this!! Why when the money was coming in you won't complaining about getting butplugged! When I need tips on how to demolish my career I'll call ya!!!!!"

Brown ended the twitter war insisted that he is "not homophobic" and that his comments were made because he finds Raz-B to be "just disrespectful".

"BTW... I love all my gay fans and this immature act is not targeted at you!!!!"

Raz-B has previously stated claims that he was molested by B2K's manager during the height of the band's fame.

Rihanna Rumored To Launch Clothing Line

Singer Rihanna has sparked rumours that she may be planning to launch a clothing line.

The Daily Mail newspaper reported that the singer was spotted having lunch with Topshop CEO Sir Philip Green in Barbados, reports the Daily Mail.

Simon Cowell also joined the meal at Sandy Lane Beach, which took place on December 26.

Rihanna later wrote on Twitter : "Just had dinner w/ Simon Cowell Philip Green, and Lucian G., and Ashley (thanks) @ Sandy Lane! Great night!"

Rihanna has not commented on the nature of the meeting.

Judge Terminates Nicole Richie's Probation Early

A judge has terminated Nicole Richie's probation two months earlier than scheduled.

The socialite star was on probation for a 2006 DUI charge. She was stopped after being seen driving the wrong way on the freeway in Los Angeles.

Her probation was scheduled to end in February, but Richie's lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley proved to the judge in the case that the actress had completed the terms of her test period.

Part of her probation included completing an 18-month alcohol education programme.

Famous Swedish group ABBA are among many artists tipped to perform at Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding in 2011.

Bookmaker Ladbrokes have offered odds of 66-1 for the group to reform at the royal wedding on April 29.

Spokesman Alex Donohoe told the Daily Star: "The return of ABBA would be sensational news for fans, unfortunately for us it would cost us a lot of money, money, money."

Ex-Pussycat Doll singer Nicole Scherzinger has reportedly demanded that all Pussycat Dolls tracks be banned at a club during a night out.

The News York Post reported the now solo singer asked a DJ at the SL nightclub in New York to play her solo material instead of her band's songs, according to the New York Post.

A source revealed: "Nicole's friends immediately shut that down."

However, when her solo material was played at the venue, Scherzinger reportedly dragged Flight Of The Conchords member Jermaine Clement with her onto the dancefloor.

The source continued: "'Whatever You Like' was blasted out, and she pulled Clement to the dancefloor, showing off the moves that made her a winner of Dancing With The Stars."

Singer Rihanna has reportedly split from boyfriend Matt Kemp of nearly a year.

The singer met Kemp in Cabo San Lucas in January, where they were spotted by paparazzi, and then made their relationship official in the spring.

A source close to the singer revealed to Us Magazine: "It happened over the last few weeks. She was basically just over it."

The insider said of Kemp: "He just can't keep up with her crazy travel schedule."

"Matt's sick of always following after her like a puppy dog all over the world. He wants something more normal."

The source added: "It was never as serious as it looked. It was always just [about] having fun."

It has been revealed that legendary singer Elton John and David Furnish have welcomed their first child.

Us Weekly reported that the famous couple became parents to a baby boy named Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John born via surrogacy on Christmas Day.

"We are overwhelmed with happiness and joy at this very special moment," they said in a statement.

"Zachary is healthy and doing really well, and we are very proud and happy parents."

The couple have also stated that they do not wish to disclose details of the surrogacy.

R&B singer Chris Brown has revealed that he will be collaborating on a new track with Justin Bieber.

ABC News, revealed that Brown tweeted the news on Christmas day via Twitter.

"ME and @justinbieber got a BANGER/SMASH record for all the fans out there at the top of the NEW YEAR!!! 2011 #BREEZYTAKEOVER," wrote Brown.

Bieber has not yet issued a statement on the collaboration.

No word on whether the new song will be featured on Brown or Bieber's next album.

R&B diva Beyonce has been named the highest earning music artist of 2010 by Forbes.

The 'Single Ladies' singer was also listed ninth in the Forbes Highest Hollywood Earners Of 2010 list.

Beyonce is estimated to have earned $87 million over the last 12 months from a number of high-profile endorsements and her 'I Am... World Tour' playing over 100 live shows and grossing $103 million.

Billionaire/host Oprah Winfrey topped the Forbes' list earning a massive $315 million, putting Avatar creator Jamed Cameron second with $210 million.

Pop queens Britney Spears and Lady GaGa came in at 13 and 14, having earned $64 million and $62 million.

Surf in Lanzarote

I have always known how important surfing was to Alex for about 15 years ago or so. When he was a surf teacher on the French Atlantic coast and when he was traveling the world from Mexico to South Africa to Angola and Bali, Portugal and the coasts of Morocco in search for the best waves, but I have not really seen it in action - and as it was such a distant image for me, I haven't really seen him, nor could I really picture him, as the surfer he obviously once was - even though I've seen some old photos of it. He's been mumbling about getting that board in the water once we get to warmer waters like the Pacific or such, while at the same time I have felt that he's been worried for being a bit too old and rusty - so with time I have also somehow thought that yeah, he probably is a bit too old and rusty to get it going on the big rolls. But so today I finally got to see him working that board for real for the first time in my life and while sitting some hundred meters away, prepared with my tele-objective, I could slowly start to realize the deep importance the surfing have had on him - and obviously still does in a nostalgic, deep way and I felt such strength of seeing him excellently maneuvering the board after such long time. Obviously a lot more stiff than I can imagine him working it in his 20's, but still he had the flow. 

For some odd reason I even almost started to cry for fucks sake, when I saw him taking off on a two meters left. Two meters (6,5 foot) is really nothing when it comes to serious surfing but it did made me proud to see my handsome man making some action after such long time. Is that the second you know that you never loved anyone higher - when you're almost 30 and you begin to cry when watching the love of your life doing something he really loves from the bottom of his heart or is that just a sign of that human beings (me) gets more pathetic with age? Seriously. Either way I had an amazing time watching the show and Alex was obviously really happy to have found himself some good waves again. Can't wait to learn this sport myself and I'm glad I have the perfect teacher for it.

Also I definitely need to get a good waterproof camera/video cam so that I can shoot better pics and videos of Alex (and maybe even me!) surfing on our tour around the world. This is something we cannot miss out on I'm telling you.

X Factor winner Matt Cardle has managed to secure his position at the number one spot in the singles chart for a second week with 'When We Collide'.

The single has now sold 738,000 copies, selling a further 300,000 more units in the past week. It was also announced as the second biggest-selling single of the year so far, behind Eminem and Rihanna's duet 'Love the Way You Lie'.

Pop Eater reported Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie reportedly spent Christmas with their family in Namibia, where the couple's first biological daughter Shiloh was born.

The couple were spotted on Thursday at a mall in the country's capital shopping for toys for their children.

Jolie also hinted at the family's travel plans on Ryan Seacrest's radio show, saying that she hoped to "travel with the kids and go to a random part in the world" for Christmas.

Rihanna's album sales has had a little help from santa, with more than 300,000 copies sold in the last seven days in the UK.

Loud has risen in the album charts to second place behind UK boy band Take That.

Rihanna posted on Twitter: "306,107 this WEEK in the UK! You sneaky little fans you! I love u guys, Thank you!!! Santa was good to me..."

The sales boost takes Loud's total sales tally to 820,000 in six weeks becoming the fourth best-selling album of 2010, behind Take That, Michael Bublé's Crazy Love and Lady GaGa's Fame Monster.

Cheryl Cole & Derek Hough's Romantic Skiing Trip

It has been reported that Cheryl Cole has agreed to go on a romantic skiing trip with Derek Hough to see in the New Year.

The Sunday Mirror newspaper reported that the couple is believe to be heading up to the Rocky Mountains in north-west America.

Dancing With The Stars dancer, Hough is thought to have booked a private villa in a luxury hotel resort.

A sourced revealed, "Derek and ­Cheryl wished each other Merry Christmas and spoke excitedly about last-minute details of their holiday in the Rockies."

"Derek wanted to be with ­Cheryl on Christmas Day and he was ­gutted and heartbroken she wasn't able to make it. So sharing a call on Skype was the next best thing. Derek is just really looking forward to their holiday now."

Later in the evening, he posted: "When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears. This is the happiest Christmas weekend in memory."

Cher beat winner Matt Cardle into second place with a huge digital buzz from social sites Google, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.

The Mirror newspaper reported that other X Factor acts One Direction and Katie Waissel came in at third and fourth, whilst the late World Cup psychic Paul the Octopus.

New Music Video: Chipmunk ft. Chris Brown

UK rapper Chipmunk teams up with US singer and now rapper Chris Brown in an off collaboration. 'Champion' is the first single to be released off Chipmunk's sophomore album 'Transition' on February 6.

What was that fashionable bracelet I had on the last picture, you might ask. So I'll tell you: It is actually not a thing with a fashionable purpose, more with a surviving one. This wrist transmitter from Navicom is connected to our radio which is connected to our GPS/Chart plotter and in case any of us would fall overboard, this will transmit a distress signal to the radio and GPS. This armband is for us a necessity during night watches, as it will awake the person sleeping if the one of us two on night watch would fall out of the boat. Obviously we will in every way possible avoid falling overboard in the first place (life vest attached to lifelines) - but would it somehow happen - this armband will immediately send out a high sounding distress alarm awakening every living person onboard and at the same time indicate on our chartplotter exactly where the person fell out and we will have a higher chance of finding the person in the water. One of those security things we find invaluable for our trip on the seven seas. /T

Lanzarote!

We had a peaceful Christmas night on the sea with 20-25 knots of wind coming from the NW, right on the beam. 240 nm was quickly done in 39 hours. This is how it looked when arriving to the islands this morning- It is so hot over here, one could almost mistake these islands to be Caribbean ones. Sorry for the bitchy-early-morning-look on my face but that's how it goes when trying to avoid getting too much sun in the eyes while balancing with a bony ass trying not to fall over board and at the same time dying for getting back into the cockpit to enjoy Christmas breakfast with my baby.
